The Old Spanish Treasure Cave is truly one of the Ozark's greatest treasures. It is believed that over 350 years ago, Spanish Conquistador Soldiers buried their treasure deep within the cavern. The treasure, in today's time, has been estimated to be worth over 40 million dollars. There has been evidence found here from the Spaniards. There have been helmets, pieces of armor, weapons and few gold coins reported being found. The cavern was sealed up until an old Spaniard from Madrid, Spain showed up here and rediscovered the cavern in 1885. He didn't stay here too long due to his health.
